Back up Back up BACK UP!!!

Ok today the lesson is on backing up your computers, and then backing up those backups. We had a situation today at work where our some of our server hard drives failed. We all thought someone was backing up the data where in reality no one was, well except someone that did it in late '06. Just so you know some data can be recovered from hard drives, but it costs a fortune. It is much cheeper to go out and buy an external hard drive and do regular backups. In fact some drives now come with software that will do the backups for you.

So now at work we are trying to figure out our backing up procedures and equipment that will need to be started. if anyone has any good ideas I'd like to hear them. I run a mac and the rest of the company uses PC's.

On another note if you are looking for a good place to buy external or internal drives check out www.owcomputing.com they have good products and reasonable prices.

I really am smart...at least a little.

I was searching my name on Google today and found a lot of cool people that share the same name as mine (first and last). here is a Youtube i found that could be me...if I could sing...or act.

Everyone Loves Youtube!

If you haven't been to youtube.com in the last 24hrs...then what is wrong with you? I get funny emails with links to youtube stuff all the time, but today I got a really cool one. At work we like to watch funny music videos and Shayne found this funny one that shows/makes fun of a lot of the famous youtube videos. Here is the new Weezer music video called "Pork and Beans".

Bike ride

Shayne Scott showed me a cool site that allows you to measure a run or ride using Google Maps. The site is http://www.gmaps-pedometer.com . The site lets you save the runs as links and refer back to them. Also you can export it for your GPS.

NEW posts!!

Sorry to both of the people that read this blog (myself and some other guy). Well below are a few of the things we have been up yo the past couple of weekends. I'd like to thank the Greens for keeping the Lundquist and Fargo families in shape.

Also on a side note I need ideas on what to post. My friend over at the Nivey Blog always has good posts as does his wife.

I tend to use this as a journal...not that there is anything wrong with that.

Ideas would be great. Let me know what's on your mind and I'll try to impart some kind of wisdom...or maybe a smart "A" comment (as Jeff Fargo would say).

Zion bike ride 2008
